Bozenna Pasik-Duncan

Bozenna Pasik-Duncan received the Master's degree in Mathematics from the University of Warsaw in 1970, and the Ph.D. and D.Sc. (Habilitation) degrees from the Warsaw School of Economics in Poland in 1978 and 1986, respectively.

Before moving to the University of Kansas (KU) in 1984, she was a faculty member of the Department of Mathematics at Warsaw School of Economics. At KU she is a Professor of Mathematics, a Courtesy Professor of both EECS & AE, and an ITTC Investigator, a Chancellors Club Teaching Professor, and a member of the KU Women's Hall of Fame. She is a Fellow of IEEE, a Fellow of IFAC, a recipient of the IEEE Third Millennium Medal, and IEEE CSS Distinguished Member Award. She has served in many capacities in several societies including IEEE CSS Vice President, three term IEEE CSS BoG member, and two term Program Director of SIAM Activity Group on Systems Theory and Control. Her current service includes Deputy Chair of the CSS TC on Control Education, Chair of the AACC Education Committee, a member of the IFAC TB as the Education Liaison, a member of IEEE WIE Committee and its 2017 Chair, a member of the IEEE SSIT BoG, and a member of the SIAM Activity Group on Systems Theory and Control Conference Steering Committee.

She is founder of Women in Control, first chair of IEEE CSS Standing Committee on Women in Control, founder and faculty advisor of Association for Women in Mathematics Student Chapter at KU, founder and coordinator of the MAM/ Outreach Program at KU, and founder and chair of Stochastic Adaptive Control Seminar at KU. She is an Associate Editor of several Journals, and an author and co-author of over 170 technical papers and book chapters. Her research interests are primarily in stochastic systems & stochastic adaptive control and in STEM education. She is a recipient of many awards including IREX Fellow, NSF Career Advancement Award, KU Women of Distinction, Service to Kansas, H.O.P.E.. IREX, Kemper, L. Hay, Morrison, Price, Polish Ministry of Higher Education Award, and recently received the 2016 IEEE EAB Meritorious Achievement Award in Continuing Education.

Harish Mysore

Director - IEEE India Operations

Harish Mysore is the first IEEE – Director of India operations based in Bangalore India. Harish is focusing on overall development of IEEE in India specially focused on IEEE Standards and Educational programs. India office works on to increase IEEE visibility through various initiatives. IEEE India office provides support for IEEE sections, Society Chapters, affinity groups and Conferences. Harish is working towards bringing internationally acclaimed IEEE seminars and Conferences to India.

Harish has worked in Technology industries for over 25 years in India. Prior to IEEE Harish worked in IBM India Labs and handled IP Licensing and Alliances program and technology operations for IBM in India. Harish has worked in Texas Instruments. Motorola, Analog Devices and Wirpo in technology development and business leadership roles.

Harish has understanding of Semiconductors, Wireless Communications, Signal processing and system design domains and has been member of various Industry bodies and served in several committees.

Harish has an Electronics and Communications Degree from National Institute of Engineering (NIE), Mysore University and has interest in Technology management and Agriculture.


ISRO, Banglore

Shri. S. Purushothaman completed his B.Tech in ECE from Pondicherry University and currently he is pursuing his M.S (by research) leading to Ph.D in microwave engineering from National Institute of Technology, Trichy. He joined as a Scientist in Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre, ISRO at Trivandrum in 2004. Currently he is continuing as a Senior Scientist in ISRO, Bangalore.

He has received “South Indian ASDF-Best Young Scientist award-2016” for the outstanding contribution in the field of engineering and space technology. He has authored more than 30 technical papers at various international conferences and journals. He also received many no. of best paper awards. He is the Life member of leading technical professional bodies like IEEE, ASI, SEMCEI, ATMS, ISSE, ASDF etc., He is the organizing joint secretary for international conference on ATMS every year.

He is passionate about to educate and motivate the student community in the field of space research and its educations. He has supported for many scientific program activities in school and college level to create awareness among the students to pursue their careers in research area. He has delivered more no. of technical invited talk in various institutions and forums. His area of interests includes microwave engineering, Satellite communication, Metamaterial based antenna, Multi antenna for communication, Spacecraft Antenna measurements etc.,

Keyana Tennant

Program Manager, IEEE WIE

Keyana Tennant, Manager of the IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE) program, has a passion for STEM education and is committed to encouraging students to pursue technology careers. Since 2005, Keyana has applied this passion in her work leading and developing the global IEEE WIE program.

Ms. Keyana has been taking a lead in WIE initiatives by supporting the WIE Committee and Chairs as well as WIE members globally for 11 years. Keyana has driven many programs such as publishing an award winning WIE Magazine and Newsletter, leading global Affinity Groups, managing Conferences and Events, and conducting Outreach and Training.

She prides her accomplishments not on her work, but on the dedication and support of all of the volunteer leaders, members, and IEEE Staff. Without such a committed team, the WIE program would not be such a success! Keyana received her BA from University of Maryland College Park and has a Masters in Public Administration.

She is a Design Strategist and a Partner at Viamedia Strategy x Design at Coimbatore, India. She did her bachelors in Visual Communication in MOP Vaishnav College, Chennai and her masters in Design Management in London College of Communication in 2009. She has worked as a Graphic Designer in Fourteen Brand Consulting. She has also worked as a Client Services Intern in JWT .She has worked as a Creative Intern in Mather. She has also worked in a socially inspiring cause called as “Skin Bank “.
